Every month, millions of girls miss school because they lack access to basic menstrual products. Our mission is simple: provide free sanitary pads and restore dignity, confidence, and opportunity.
Together, we can ensure that no girl has to choose between her education and her period.
At ADF, our mission is to combat period poverty by providing menstrual products and education to those in need. We believe that no one should miss out on education or opportunities due to menstruation.
Guided by our core values of dignity, equality, and confidence, we strive to ensure that every individual can manage their menstrual health with dignity, promote equal access to menstrual products and education, and empower individuals to manage their menstrual health confidently and comfortably.

In Uganda, period poverty remains a significant barrier to girls’ education and well-being. Studies show that 64% of girls lack access to affordable sanitary products and adequate menstrual hygiene facilities and thus causing a large number to miss school during their periods.
In fact, millions of school days are lost each year due to menstruation-related challenges and some girls may miss up to 10–11% of the school year.
Limited menstrual education also leaves many girls unprepared for their first period, increasing stigma and embarrassment.
